Common Work-Related Issues We See

Work injuries can show up in many ways, including:

  • Neck and shoulder tension
  • Low back pain and stiffness
  • Repetitive strain injuries (wrists, elbows, forearms)
  • Hip, knee, and ankle pain
  • Headaches related to posture or muscle tension
  • Reduced mobility, lifting tolerance, or endurance
  • Dizziness, balance issues, or concussion-like symptoms after a fall or impact

Our goal is to help you move better, reduce irritation, and build a plan that supports your daily demands—whether you’re on your feet all day or working at a desk.

What to Expect

Your first visit is approximately one hour. You’ll review what happened with your provider, then we’ll complete a full assessment and musculoskeletal exam. We’ll also screen for red flags that may require additional medical investigation.

Depending on your needs, your care plan may include hands-on therapy, guided exercise, and strategies to support progress between visits.

We also provide practical guidance for pacing, ergonomics, and safe movement habits to support return-to-work readiness.

WSIB Support + Return-to-Work Guidance

If your claim is under WSIB, care may follow program-based guidelines and documentation requirements. WSIB commonly uses a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Program of Care for many non-surgical workplace injuries. This is typically an 8-week program, structured as two 4-week blocks, designed to support recovery and a safe return to work.

This program includes required reporting points, including an initial assessment, a mid-point report, and an outcomes summary, to document progress and support return-to-work planning.

We can help by:

  • Completing appropriate reports within our scope
  • Tracking progress and functional improvements
  • Supporting return-to-work planning (including modified duties when appropriate)

We’ll also help keep documentation organized and on time so that you can focus on recovery.

Depending on your claim, WSIB paperwork may involve forms such as Form 6 (Worker’s Report), Form 7 (Employer’s Report), and Form 8 (Health Professional’s Report). For return-to-work planning, the Functional Abilities Form (FAF) may also be required.
